Cleaner production of alloys is great significance to the protection ecological environment. At present, it has received widespread attention all over world. Chromite smelting reduction direct alloying an important process in stainless steel, which can make full use chromite resources, thereby reducing costs and preventing environmental damage caused by traditional processes. In order reveal dissolution mechanism ore, pure phase synthetic FeCr2O4, main component was used replace real with a complex composition investigated. The effects basicity (w(CaO) + w(MgO)/w(SiO2) w(Al2O3)), Al2O3 content temperature on FeCr2O4 CaO–MgO–Al2O3–SiO2 refining slag were studied under high purity argon atmosphere. range sample 35%–55%SiO2, 15–35%CaO, 10–20%Al2O3 10%MgO. results show that solubility increases decrease from 1 0.54 then decreases 0.33. low (B = 0.54), will increase w(SiO2)/w(Al2O3) 2.25 5.50. system best 45% SiO2, 25% CaO, 20% 10% MgO. increasing 1500 1600°C. Meanwhile, distribution elements interface analyzed EDS. During process, Fe, Mg Al form concentration gradient surface FeCr2O4. width interval inversely proportional reaction time solubility. kinetic also controlled step process. activation energy this 266.05 kJ·mol?1.
